Hi guys,
I hope everyone is good and getting out onto the trail or track as often as you can. I'm writing from Votwo Events & Adventure, we're a UK based sports events company. We run a wide variety of events from adventure runs, multi sport discipline events and more. Our main focus is on our Coastal Challenge (CC) Events.
The CC events consist of 3 marathon in 3 days across some of the finest coastal lines in the UK, we currently run 2 of these in England and 2 in Wales. On each day of the challenge participants embark on a run across 24-26 miles of coastal path with incredible views throughout.
The events prove to be an epic feat for the athletes who always leave with a great sense of achievement and new aquaintences which become life long friends. There is a real element of team ethos associated with the events due to their gruelling nature which drives a sense of camaraderie. We see athletes enter from all over the world as our courses are unique in the terrain and are a logistical dream for participants as we take the stress out of the experience by providing accommodation, food including; refreshments on course, full english breakfast, evening meal, nutritional products and transfers if needed.
Over the weekend of March 23rd - March 25th we held our Jurassic Coast Challenge, a magnificent event which saw athletes from all over the world complete the 78 mile course over 3 days. The feedback has been phenomenal once again as we look forward to our next coast path events; the Anglesey, Atlantic and Pembrookshire coastal challenges.
More information on the events can be found online at www.votwo.co.uk/events-1/atlantic-coast-challenge-2011.
We've had a number of entries from the US in recent years with no marketing efforts stateside which got me thinking about communicating our events with your ultra running communities.
I'd like to gauge from anyone who has some feedback; if you believe residents of the US would be willing to travel for such an event on a larger scale, who in particular would be worth approaching for it, what you'd be looking for from the event that maybe we don't already offer.
Any feedback would be massively appreciated, I look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Tom
